Automation & AI Solutions Engineer

SUMMARY:

We're seeking a Solution Engineer who has an excellent background designing and implementing custom solutions that automate workflows and processes in the legal or similar industries. In this role you will meet with various stakeholders at our client's law firm to gather requirements and business use-cases to design and develop homegrown software solutions and tools that will streamline operational workflows, leveraging automation and AI platforms (i.e., Claude, Harvey, etc.) to improve efficiency in in the areas of documentations, research, and case management. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in legal operations or a professional services background and enjoys creating smart, automated solutions from the ground up.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Meet with various departments throughout the firm to understand workflows and processes to identify areas where automation and AI can be beneficial
• Develop custom software and tools that will capture, auto populate, and automate manual and repetitive tasks at the firm in the areas of research documentation, intake support, and process guidance.
• Integrate existing firm-wide legal software and applications such as Litify, Adobe, and an eDiscovery platform, with custom-built automation solutions
• Create templates, SOPs, and frameworks for scalable automation across the firm.
• Roll out improvements in 30/60/90-day phases with measurable impact.
• Identify and create AI solutions (homegrown) that align with the business use cases at the firm if necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Several years of experience designing and implementing custom solutions and applications, specifically in the areas of automation
• Strong skills with automation frameworks and programming languages (i.e., Python, Ruby, or similar languages, libraries, and/or frameworks)
• Experience with conversational Generative-AI tools (i.e., Claude, Harvey, or similar LLMs).
• Strong understanding of legal workflows and document processes (preferred).
• Familiarity with case management, document management, Legal AI tools, and eDiscovery platforms (preferred).
• Ability to gather requirements, design workflows, and deliver user-friendly tools.
• Experience automating Word/Adobe document preparation and data population.
• Prior consulting experience design and implementing custom automation and AI solutions as a law firm or similar regulated industries (i.e., Hospital, Banks, Real Estate, ect)
